The Man Behind the Bass
Jay Jones is the CEO of Basslinezmuzik Group. He is a bass player, composer, and producer who has more than 20 years of experience on his instrument. Raised in Boynton Beach, FL, Jay Jones became an enthusiast of music at the impressionable age of 3 in his local church by learning to play the drums. His exceptional keenness in musicianship cultivated a desire to learn and master the bass guitar by age 17.
Jays aptitude with the bass guitar has afforded him the opportunity to perform with musicians in varied genres to include, awarding winning gospel artist such as Kim Burrell, Ricky Dillard, Regina Bell and Canton Jones. The distinctive sounds he has created are featured on various Hip Hop and R&B albums. Jay played bass guitar on a few major artist tracks such as “Come In (My Door's Open)” by Day 26, “Intro” on Theater of The Mind album by Ludacris, and “In Cold Blood” by Rick Ross. Jay can be seen gracing the screen in Brianna Perry’s “Reality Show” music video. Jay was the bassist for American Idol Season 4 finalist, Nadia Turner. He had a stellar performance at the 9th Annual Jazz in the Gardens Music Festival, one of the most highly regarded and anticipated music festivals in the country. Jay Jones and the Love Jones Experience Band shared the stage with artists such as Boney James, Mint Condition, Stanley Clarke and Maze Featuring Frankie Beverly just to name a few. In February 2018, he had the opportunity of sharing the stage with Kent Jones's as bassist on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

He does not just compose and produce for other artist, but as the CEO of Basslinezmuzik Group, he is an active artist, entertainer, and musician who is very hands-on with everything.
